The family firm of J.W. Binks & Sons was founded in 1870 by John Walter Binks. The firm was known in those days for its horse-drawn hearse and hand made coffins.

The current Senior Partner is Mr. Richard Binks and now the firm is renowned for its caring approach, putting the client first, and attention to detail.

We are a modern funeral business offering a wide range of traditional and alternative services to our clients.

Based in Morley and servicing the surrounding areas, we relocated to Park House in 1994 in order to provide our clients with a centrally located funeral home. 

Our mortuary facilities and individual chapels of rest are towards the rear of the ground floor, to provide a quiet setting for those wishing to visit their loved ones.  

We have a separate lounge outside the chapel area for those, accompanying family or friends, who may wish not to go into the chapel of rest. We have a large catering room on the first floor which can accommodate up to fifty guests for refreshments after a funeral, and which looks out over Scatcherd Park (please note: unfortunately, there is no disabled access to the first floor).

Our large private car park, immediately adjacent to the building, can easily accommodate up to twenty vehicles. We have added a purpose built, garage to the rear of the premises to accommodate our fleet of specialist funeral vehicles.
