¹ This fee (which is sometimes called the interment fee) is the charge made for digging and closing a new grave, or for reopening and closing an existing grave.
² In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, you will usually need to pay doctors’ fees as well. This is the charge for two doctors to sign the Medical Certificates for Cremation.
Deposit and Payment Arrangements
For an Unattended Funeral, full payment is required no less than 3 working days before the date of the funeral.
For an Attended Funeral, a deposit equal to the amount of the disbursements must be paid no less than 3 working days before the date of the funeral.
Failure to make payment more than 3 working days before the date of the funeral may result in cancellation of the funeral and additional charges for rearranging.
The balance of the funeral account is due for payment within thirty days of our account, unless otherwise agreed by us in writing.
If you fail to pay us in full on the due date, we may charge you interest at a rate of 8%, calculated on a daily basis and compounded on the first day of each month, and before or after any judgement. We may also recover the costs of taking legal action to make you pay.
