I have attended 2 funerals recently the staff was extremely rude and unapproachable. The whole thing was very rushed and unprofessional in every way. Binks also have extra hidden chargers and don’t comply with time keeping I’m very disappointed with there services and would never recommend them in the future

I would not recommend to use this company. We used them many years ago for my grandma and they were very good. This time we used them we are not happy. We felt they had no empathy at all and felt at times they were rude. The communication was terrible and when we contacted them to ask any questions it felt like an inconvenience to them. The funeral was spoiled overall by them bringing a private ambulance and driving in front of everyone in it. It looked horrible and everyone was asking why it was there.

My friend recently passed away and we used these guys to help with arrangements, perfect, so easy, nothing was too much trouble and all just happened, totally took the stress out of a sad situation, thanks for your help team

Mum passed recently at the ripe old age of 96 and we chose (wisely as it turned out) to use J W Binks & sons to take care of the funeral . Alex Binks was the consummate professional from start to finish , we were treated with sympathy and care throughout the whole process from start to finish. Arrived at the scene only an hour after being called, despite it being out of hours and a weekend. Efficient service, and good communication throughout. The service and transport both went without a hitch and the price initially quoted was the price we paid with no hidden extras. As much as I hope I won't need their services, I wouldn't hesitate to use this family business again should the need arise.

Richard arranged the perfect send off for my dad. We had a lovely ceremony at Binks’ followed by interment of ashes at Cottingley. Everything was arranged with care and attention to detail. I’m sure my dad would have been very impressed.

My dad passed away at home on July 11th 2022, we choose JW BINKS directors to look after my dad and give him the send off that he would of liked, he was not a religious man and JW BINKS ,Alex took this into account by offering a service of remembering my dad and his life. i was always aloud to take my time in making the funeral arrangement and never felt uneasy with Alex who went up and beyond his job by returning my dads ring in a little gift box, the little things mean so much, no wonder this business is celebrating 150 years. Alex you defiantly didnt miss your vocation in life Thankyou all for your patience understanding and respectfulness with organising my dads funeral. Hope you all love the cupcakes made specially for you all.

I would recommend that you use the services of J W Binks Funeral Directors. The funeral arrangements for our Father were completed in a very professional manner and we were treated with dignity and respect.throughout the process. I think the fact it is a family business means a more personal service.

Fantastic service from the first phone call. They just took care of everything, took the time to take us through all the options, got everything organised the way we wanted it and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. I think the most important thing of all is that we all felt that they took really good care of my Grandad and treated him with dignity. On the day itself the professionalism of the people involved was outstanding and they did everything they could to make the service run flawlessly. In such a difficult time it was such a relief to have someone reliable organising things and they defiantly took a lot of stress out of the process. Things like this are never nice, but I couldn't recommend JW Binks highly enough. We would especially like to thank Ann who when above and beyond in organising everything and on the day.

We recently used Alex Binks for my dear mum's funeral. I flew in from New Zealand to assist my brother and father with the arrangements. Alex was nothing short of professional and efficient whilst having a great (at times funny) manner with us..that was only used as and when appropriate - this helped all of us during a very emotional time. We are not religious so chose a civil service which we were able to create the script for...Alex guided us all the way but allowed us the freedom to do as Mum would have liked. The service went smoothly...Alex nearby to step in if we were unable to read our parts. Alex also recommended a fantastic caring caterer Mandy and staff who went above and beyond (as the numbers far exceeded our expectations, returning to our family home for the wake!!) But she remained calm and catered for all with delish food..and cleaned up!! A lovely lady. So what was a very emotional day for me and my family...it was lighted by using Binks - professional and empathetic funeral directors.I rate 5 stars plus 😊

After the death of my Grandad my Mum chose JW Binks to take care of all of the arrangements. The staff were professional at all times and nothing was too much trouble. We struggled on a lot of the things that we wanted to say had happened in his life, but Alex was there to help guide us and make suggestions. Could not have been a greater Funeral Directors to have worked with. I would certainly highly recommend.
